News Reporting Gaining Credibility

September 22, 2008 under Old Post

I keep hearing that news reporting has died this year.  I almost believed it to be true until the media redeemed itself with the most late breaking story ever to be journaled. With the rise in oil prices today, Barack’s dishonest ads, Travis Barkers plane crash, our war in Iraq, Chinese babies croaking and other various news story, comes the most important one. The title really says it all, “Brazilian woman finds fame as McCain’s old flame

It goes to show the whole world does have the small town mindset. I’m sure if  you went to her Brazilian town there is or will be soon a billboard that says, ‘Home town of former John McCain lover, Maria Gracinda Teixeira.”  To capture the heart of journalist and the heart of americans, the news had to break this long awaited answer, “where would the answer lie?”
“Local reporters tracked her down late last week, turning Teixeira into an overnight media sensation.”
Our media has once again come up with very valid and important coverage. I’ll be upset if I ever hear folks say the media has died and given up on reporting. This story proves that news reporting has regained credibility and added extra heat to an old flame.
