For those of us who aren’t up ‘wit’ it I will explain quickly what Cryptozoology is in twenty words: the study of evidence tending to substantiate the existence of, or the search for, creatures whose reported existence is unproved. Wow wee! Some would say this is somewhat poetic, dangerous, the cure for boredom, and the new standard for romance novel classics; however, I say its just another way to prove I am truly the foremost knowledgeable cryptozoology (cryptozoologist).
Now we got that out of the way I can explain how the term was created. French born Benard Heuvelmans was a scientist, explorer, and something completely odd, a writer. He coined the phrase Cryptozoology in his fun-to-read classic On the Track of Unknown Animals. True, I have yet to read this book (not many pictures), but I confidently advise you all to read this. I have yet to read this masterpiece due to the fact I just heard of it and also because I was born with a brilliant understanding of cryptids—one of my best friends is a cryptid.”
